Mussoorie, popularly known as the Queen of Hill Stations, is located at an altitude of 2550.5 m in the lush green Garhwal Hills in the lower Himalayas. Probably the most frequented hill station in north India, Mussoorie has a pleasant climate all round year. Its proximity to Delhi, make it a favorite haunt for tourists especially during hot sultry summers. Besides housing modern bungalows, malls and well laid gardens; Mussoorie is also known for some of the best academic institutions of India. The town's proximity to major Hindu pilgrimage sites like Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, Yamunotri, Haridwar and Rishikesh enhances its importance as a major tourist destination.

Kempty Falls: Located at 15 Km from Mussoorie amidst the picturesque surroundings of high mountain ranges, Kempty Falls has the distinction of being the biggest and prettiest waterfall in a valley. As water cascades down from an altitude of 4,500 feet and splits further into five small cascades, the breathtaking view make a spellbound effect on its visitors. People enjoy a refreshing bath at the base.
Gun Hill: The most famous attraction in Mussoorie, Gun Hill is the second highest peak of Mussoorie. Gun Hill offers an enchanting view of some of the highest Himalayan ranges namely Bunderpunch, Srikantha, Pithwara and Gangotri group. The point also offers a picturesque view of Mussoorie town and Doon Valley. You can enjoy a 400 m thrilling ropeway ride to land at this exceptionally beautiful misty peak. The cable cars swing between the Hall and Gun Hill more than 100 times a day.
Municipal Garden: A beautiful garden with an artificial mini lake offering enjoyable boating facilities.
Lal Tibba: Situated close to Childer's lodge, the highest peak in Mussoorie, Lal Tibba is the oldest inhabited place in Mussoorie. You can enjoy a horse ride to reach at the peak, which offers an exhilarating snow view of the hills to its visitors.
Mussoorie Lake: The newly developed Mussoorie Lake is a favorite picnic spot situated on Mussoorie- Dehradun road and is about 6 km from the town. It also offers an enchanting view of the Doon Valley and nearby areas.

Dehradun: Located at 29 km downwards from Mussoorie is Dehradun, the capital city of Uttaranchal. The city is picturesquely situated between the two most important rivers of India - the Ganga and Yamuna.
Dhanaulti: Located amidst the lush green virgin forests of deodar, rhododendron and oak tress at about 25 Km from Mussoorie, Dhanaulti offers a perfect atmosphere of peace and tranquility.
Haridwar: The most famous pilgrimage site for Hindus, Haridwar is located on the foothills of Shivaliks, the lower Himalayas.

Naga Tibba: Located at about 55 Km from Mussoorie, Naga Tibba is the highest peak at an altitude of 10,000 feet and offers ideal conditions for trekking.
How to Reach
By Air: Nearest airport, Jolly Grant is located at 60 km from the city. There are regular flights from Delhi to Jolly Grant.
By Rail: The nearest railhead to Mussoorie is Dehradun (35 Km). The overnight Mussoorie Express links Delhi to Dehradun.
By Road: The city is well connected by roads. Delhi to Mussoorie is 290 km and Dehradun to Mussoorie is 35 km. Buses and private taxis ply every half hour from Dehradun to Mussoorie.
