Manali is one of the finest and prettiest hill stations of India. Major Attractions
Hadimba Temple: The beautiful temple dedicated to Hadimba Devi, wife of Bhim - one of the five Pandavas. Built in 1553, this four-story wooden temple is famous for its intricately caved doorway. A colorful festival organized every year in the month of May, is the major attraction at the temple.
Rahalla waterfalls: Located at16 km from Manali at the starting point of the Rohtang Pass are the beautiful Rahalla Falls at an altitude of 2,501 m.
Rohtang Pass: Gateway to Lahaul Valley, Rohtang Pass is situated about 51 km from Manali at an altitude of 3979 m (13400 ft). It is the highest point on the Manali-Keylong road. There is a beautiful Dashohar lake located left of the pass. From here you can enjoy the breathtaking view of mountains rising far above clouds, indeed an unforgettable experience for anyone. The pass is open from June to September each year.
Solang Valley: Located at 12 Km from Manali the splendid Solang valley offers the most enchanting view of glaciers and snow capped mountains and peaks. Famous for fine ski slopes it has a ski lift installed for training purpose.
Vashist Hot Water Springs and Temple: Located at 3.2 km from Manali across the Beas River is Vashist, a small village with natural sulphur hot water springs at an altitude of 6200 ft. The springs are believed to possess medicinal properties and people from far areas come to take a bath in them. Nearby is a pyramidal stone temple dedicated to Vashistha Muni.
Nehru Kund: Nehru Kund is 6 km from Manali on Manali-Keylong road. The place is famous for its clear cold water spring, named after the late Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru.
Other important attractions at Manali are Gadhan Thekchoking Gompa or Buddhist monastery, Arjun Gufa, Jagatsuhk, Kothi, Manu Temple, Manali Sanctuary and the Mountaineering Institute among many others.

How to Reach
By Air: The nearest airport Bhuntar at about 52 km from Manali and 10 km beyond Kullu. Vayudoot operates daily flights from Delhi to Kullu via Chandigarh and Shimla.
By Rail: The nearest narrow-gauge railhead is Joginder Nagar at a distance of 95 Km from Kullu. The closest broad-gauge railheads are Chandigarh (310 km) and Ambala (355 km).
By Road: Manali is at a distance of 40 km from Kullu. The distance from Delhi via Mandi is 585 km, and from Shimla the distance is 270 km.
